We were driving down Queen street on a snowy Sunday morning, we saw the beacher cafe (in the beaches) just as they were opening. That’s where we met the owner Peter who was super friendly right from the start. Jessie our server made us an incredible Irish whiskey. She was helpful and sweet through the whole meal. We both had the all day breakfast meal. Peter checked in on us throughout which was very nice. It was absolutely delicious, a must try. Their home fries with the dish were the best I have ever had with a breakfast meal. The atmosphere was very nice, had great vibes, music it was warm and comfortable. Overall a must place to try if you are looking for a great breakfast spot or just a great place to come for some drinks and delicious food. It was our first experience here and we will be coming back here for sure! Thanks Peter, Jessie and the beacher cafe team!
We had a fantastic experience at The Beacher! The watermelon salad was refreshing, the Club chicken breast sandwich with fries was perfectly cooked, and the bacon and eggs with home fries were spot on. The coffee was fresh and delicious, a perfect complement to the meal. The service was excellent, with attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with an old-school fresh vibe that adds to the overall experience. The prices are fair, especially considering the high quality of the meals. We’ll definitely be back!
Very friendly staff. Food was good, but … for the price they charge they can have freshly made potato’s. My potatoes were stale.
This charming local spot is a go-to for brunch lovers! I love grabbing a quiet table by the windows to bask in the sun while getting a little work done — it’s such a cozy vibe. The staff are consistently warm and friendly, always remembering regulars and making you feel right at home. While the decor shows some wear, it adds a touch of that authentic Toronto charm that makes this place feel special. And the hollandaise on their Bennys? Absolutely unbeatable — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Add in the great prices, and it’s easy to see why this spot remains a Beaches favorite!
I had not been here in several years. My good friend Tim, reminded me his cousin owns the place. I support that! The servers are friendly and quick. Food came really fast. 3 of us ate, all different orders and all really enjoyed it. Hot, plenty of food. Endless coffee. Nice and clean, warm atmosphere and plenty of setting. Great job!
A nice local spot with excellent brunch and service. I love to snag a quiet table along the all windows in the warm sun to work away for an hour or so. The servers always remember you, so genuine and friendly, and make you feel welcome to stay. The decor could use an update as the whole building looks a little worn but it almost adds to that local Toronto charm. And they still have the best hollandaise for Bennys in the Beaches! (Best priced too!)
